The Classroom Mini-economy training and guide has all the tools and resources you need to create a functioning economy right inside your classroom. At the end of this comprehensive activity, your students will have a thorough understanding of our economy. Through this training, you will have a time-tested template that makes setting up your classroom economy simple, including:

  • Economics instruction – step-by-step lessons and in-depth instructions make integrating the Mini-Economy into your curriculum simple.

Financial Fitness for Life©

Financial Fitness for Life® (FFFL) is a comprehensive personal finance curriculum for K-12 students that teaches students how to make thoughtful, well-informed decisions about important aspects of personal finance, such as earning income, spending, saving, borrowing, investing, and managing money.

Economic concepts form the foundation of all lessons, providing students with a decision-making framework for the real world. Content is based on national standards, and correlates to standards in economics, personal finance, mathematics, and language arts. With engaging, hands-on instructional activities, FFFL materials engage students of all ages in active learning.   Materials are available in four grade levels: K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12 with a teacher guide and student guide that work in tandem. Corresponding parent guides for the K-5 and 6-12 grade levels contain activities to extend learning into the home

International Economic Summit Teacher Training

Attend our International Economic Summit teacher training, and get your students involved in the International Economic Summit event. This training is offered as a one-on-one mentoring option, and will be available online in the Spring of 2020. There is no cost to attend, other than a commitment to get your students involved in a school, local, or regional summit event.

Teachers participating in a summit teacher training will be guided through the lessons and how to participate in a summit event. In addition, all participants will receive:

  • 8-Country Teacher Training Economic Summit Kit
  • Use of the International Economic Summit program in your classroom for the rest of your career
  • Professional development credit upon request ($60 fee)

Understanding Fiscal Responsibility

Teach students how to think critically about public policy using these Understanding Fiscal Responsibility lessons focusing on government institutions, programs, the Federal Reserve, Social Security, and other historical events. Students become informed citizens as they consider the trade-offs involved in setting public policy. They learn to articulate their own views by evaluating primary and secondary sources, engaging in group activities and discussions, and writing brief essays.
